{"id":3293,"date":"2022-11-21T18:06:54","date_gmt":"2022-11-21T17:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.g-v.fr\/gisele-vienne\/"},"modified":"2026-04-10T16:54:29","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:54:29","slug":"gisele-vienne","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.g-v.fr\/en\/gisele-vienne\/","title":{"rendered":"Gisele Vienne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Gis\u00e8le Vienne is a\u00a0Franco-Austrian\u00a0artist, choreographer, theatre and film director.\u00a0From an early age,\u00a0she\u00a0was\u00a0trained in visual arts\u00a0by\u00a0Doroth\u00e9a Vienne-Pollak, studied dance, and music,\u00a0and later philosophy,\u00a0and puppeteering.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Over the past\u00a0twenty\u00a0years, her work has toured\u00a0in Europe, Asia,\u00a0and America, among\u00a0others the productions\u00a0and films\u00a0<em>Showroomdummies #1, #2, #3, #4\u00a0<\/em>(2001\u00a0\u2013 2020),<em>\u00a0I Apologize\u00a0<\/em>(2004),\u00a0<em>Kindertotenlieder\u00a0<\/em>(2007),\u00a0<em>Jerk\u00a0<\/em>(2008),\u00a0<em>This\u00a0is\u00a0how\u00a0you\u00a0will\u00a0disappear<\/em>\u00a0(2010),\u00a0<em>LAST SPRING: A Prequel<\/em>\u00a0(2011),\u00a0<em>The Ventriloquists Convention\u00a0<\/em>(2015) in collaboration with Puppentheater Halle,\u00a0<em>Crowd<\/em>\u00a0(2017),\u00a0<em>L\u2019\u00c9tang<\/em>\u00a0(2021),\u00a0and\u00a0<em>EXTRA LIFE<\/em>\u00a0(2023). In 2021, she directed the film\u00a0<em>Jerk\u00a0<\/em>and in 2024\u00a0<em>Kerstin Kraus.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Vienne has frequently exhibited\u00a0her photographs and installations in museums,\u00a0among\u00a0them\u00a0the Whitney Museum of American Art\u00a0in New York,\u00a0the Centre Pompidou\u00a0in\u00a0Paris, the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes\u00a0in\u00a0Buenos Aires, the Centre\u00a0d\u2019Art\u00a0Contemporain\u00a0in Geneva and Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Art Moderne de Paris.
